Now available--The National Consumers League Direct-To-Consumer Promotion of Prescription Drugs Roundtable II Final Report. The report contains the consensus recommendations presented to the Food and Drug Administration and industry as guidelines for DTC advertising. It also contains the complete results of both consumer surveys commissioned by NCL: A random-sample phone survey of 1,012 people, which discusses issues of DTC advertising's impact on consumers, as well as dietary supplement use; and a mall-intercept survey, which addresses the usefulness of various forms of prescription drug information, including print advertisements for prescription drugs, third-party newsletters, and pharmacy leaflets.
